How to make candy apples?

Ingredients for six apples

- 550 g sugar
- One teaspoon lemon juice
- Three teaspoons of red food coloring
- Optional: sprinkles for decoration

First, we wash the apples thoroughly and remove the stem with thema sharp knife to make candy apples. Then we put the skewers in the place of the branch and set the apples aside.
Now we first put the water in a large saucepan and then add the sugar. We heat the mixture until the sugar has dissolved in the water to make candy apples. Now we add the lemon juice and the food coloring and let everything simmer until it turns into a thick syrup and it becomes clear. Meanwhile, we line a baking sheet with parchment paper – the candied apples are allowed to dry here later to make candy apples.
As soon as the syrup is ready, we take an apple on a stick and dip it in the pot. Now we swing it back and forth until it is completely covered to make candy apples. Then we pull out the candied apple and slowly turn it over the bank so that excess syrup can drain off.
